Before closure
- Issued drawing or agreed reference identified
- Location and work item named
- Responsible reviewer confirmed
- Photographs captured where agreed
Before acceptance
- Observation described clearly
- Responsible action owner named
- Close-out evidence attached
- Status and date recorded
Typical record categories
- Waterproofing stages before covering, where specified
- Service routes before closing walls, floors or ceilings
- Reinforcement, embeds or junctions where the responsible consultant requires a record
- Material samples and approved references
- Snag or observation list and close-out status
- Handover documents and agreed photographic record
The project-specific architect, engineer, consultant or other responsible reviewer remains responsible for the inspections and certifications assigned to them.

Inspection points should not be improvised after closure.
