State what the panel must do.
Separate decorative lining from impact protection, acoustic treatment, wet-area lining, fire-rated construction, service enclosure and integrated storage. Each role changes the substrate, frame, product, joint, access and test information required.
02 · Hidden layer
Survey before covering the wall.
Check moisture, cracks, wall build-up, load capacity, service routes and required ventilation. Coordinate backing and fasteners from the verified substrate and imposed load. Heavy or tall work needs suitable support, not attachment only to a thin panel skin.

03 · Visible layer
Use a signed sample and joint strategy.
Approve module size, joint rhythm, edges, corners, reveals, door interfaces, grain or pattern, lighting and repair approach. Test the most visible transition and a removable access panel before repeating the system.
04 · Close-out
Keep the wall maintainable.
Record concealed backing, anchors, services and fire stopping before closure. Handover as-built panel and access layout, exact product and finish schedule, test or classification reports where specified, cleaning and repair instructions, spare pieces and warranty responsibilities.
